Touch Type, Read and Spell (TTRS) at Kerry Library.

TTRS (Touch-type, Read, Spell) is a multisensory, structured, online course which assists adults and children to learn reading, typing and spelling at their own pace.
In addition to developing typing skills, TTRS is designed to benefit students of all ages who experience spelling, reading or writing difficulties. Learners with dyslexia or literacy issues have found it helpful. People who may find it beneficial include:
The course has a user-friendly interface and from the very start of the course, students are prompted and talked through what to do, for example: where to place their fingers on the keyboard etc.
There are different levels and different modules within these which learners can work through and improve on. Each module is designed to be short in length with regular, positive feedback.
In addition to the main TTRS course, there is also a TTRS subjects section. Recommended only after learners have completed at least 3 levels of the main course, the subjects include maths, grammar and science and cover the vocabulary needed in those areas.

Kerry Library is delighted to be able to offer complimentary access to this online course for students of all ages. Each student needs a unique username and password to get started and will have access to the course for a maximum of 3 months.
As there is a limited number of licences available a waiting period may apply.
