A Selection of Views of The Kingdom
from
Kerry Library Archives’ Postcard Collection

Kerry Library Archives holds an extensive collection of postcard views for County Kerry.  Since the late 19th century, Kerry has always been one of the more attractive propositions for postcard publishers.

Whether natural photo scenes, colourised prints, or cards produced by travel operators (Railway & Ferry Companies), the Kingdom has long been a shop window for Irish tourism.

The Kerry Library Archives Postcard Collection contains 350 items, reflective of the beauty to be found throughout the county and, to celebrate Bealtaine, we have prepared a slide show selection highlighting the date range (1890s to 1960s) and geographical spread (from Ballybunion to Sneem) of the collection.  Enjoy!
